old Movie about aliens?

I remember watching a film years ago with aliens in it, i can not remember the name but in the end the aliens contacted humans through their ship, the humans and aliens played sounds and the alien ship glowed when it played a musical note.

    Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, from 1977. Pretty good movie. Directed by Steven Spielberg and features actors Richard Dreyfuss, François Truffaut, Melinda Dillon, Teri Garr, Bob Balaban, etc.
