In what way was Svante Arrhenius "scared" of AGW or promote alarmism about it?

as Hey Doofus suggests? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201403...

Although his climate sensitivity calculation was way too high, he actually thought it would be a good thing.

Update:

@Climate"Realist"... I made it quite clear in my question that I was inquiring which people starting using scare tactics to get people to believe in the CAGW hoax. I even said I meant frauds like Hansen and Gore.

The greenies have been trying to scare us for a long time. In the story of Chicken Little which is based on life experiences, just like Aesop's stories, Wikipedia has this to say, "The Merriam-Webster Dictionary records the first application of the name Chicken Little to 'one who warns of or predicts calamity, especially without justification’ as dating from 1895."

So we can probably go back before that time since it had already been established by 1895. Many people are easily scared by false premises. Columbus was supposed to fall off the Earth sometime out to sea. You see most people are scared of that 'black box'. What ever is in that black black box they don't understand and will believe anything about it when coming from a person who asserts himself as knowing about the inside workings, especially if they have a PhD.

Climate Change and AGW were tailor made for the gullible and you have many who are willing to let the charlatans lead them into ridiculous situations of fear and slavery, especially if these charlatans have a degree.

<Although his climate sensitivity calculation was way too high, he actually thought it would be a good thing.>

Yes he did, although I kind of wonder where he thought the melting ice in Greenland and Antarctica would go. And Dookie posted the question to make fun of the way that denialists call realists "alamists," as if everyone who faces reality is afraid.

<I even said I meant frauds like Hansen and Gore.>

    I suggest taking your meds.
