I bought a new lg led fhd 32" yet i found in its menu that i can register some sort of code for divx by visiting the website?
However i dont understand anything of this ?! Whats divx? And what will i benefit from registering the code ? And how do i doit ? Is it free ? What will i have when the registration is done? Thanks in advance

DiVX is one of the codecs to play MP4 based files from a USB drive.
The likely reason for the code is to activate it, at least because it needs licensed, or maybe you need to agree to a terms of service to use it.
The manual should say how to get a code, usually at the manufacturer website.
If you are just going to watch TV from other devices, or antenna, you don't need it.
