What does my political compass score mean?

For my history class we had to take the political compass test.

I got -4.12 economic left/right and -0.82 social libertarian/authoritarian

I don't know much about politics so if you could help me out that'd be great

    Think of it like a cross graph that goes from -5 to 5 left to right, -5 to 5 up and down (joining in the middle at 0). So you're fairly strongly left wing and moderate/marginally authoritarian.
