Pain under my Achilles' tendon where the tendon attaches to the heel?

I'd say it started about a month ago, when I go back into training, such as hill sprints, lifting weights, and a lot of explosive workout, it doesn't hurt when I'm warmed up and doing the workout, but when I'm cooled down I can feel a slight pain walking around, just a slight pain it has gotten progressively worse. Now the weird part is that when I squeeze inside of my calf like the left side of my right calf about 4 inches below my knee where the bone is at I feel a lot of pain at that location and a lot of pain right under my Achilles as well all from squeezing that area or just a little pressure on that area I feel pain, I just turned 20 and I'm trying for the triple and long jump, what's the problem, is it a nerve from the symptoms or the actual tendon? Thank you and what can I do?

The Achilles tendon is the biggest tendon that attaches the calf muscle (gastrocnemius) to the heel. This tendon has a newer name for it, as names of people are being phased out. The newly accepted name is the calcaneal tendon.

    Hi,

Probably Achilles tendonitis and partial tear where it inserts on the heel.

Rest and look up prolotherapy. Prolotherapy will heal and strengthen the tendon and attachment.

See an orthopedist who does Dextrose (or other proliferant), Platelet Rich Plasma, and Stem Cell Therapy (aka prolotherapy) –a low intrusive, nonsurgical procedure involving injections of the proliferant dextrose, etc., your platelets, and your stem cells. It will regenerate and heal the injury effectively and quickly. It’s best if the doctor uses ultrasound to guide the proper placement of the injections. Be sure the doctor administers multiple injections in the whole area, not just one injection in a single location. The treatment should be thorough and comprehensive. Here are some videos.

Be sure you rest and not aggravate the injury while healing. Have a healthy diet. Otherwise you won't heal properly and fully.

    Massage should help too.

I hope this helps and you get better.
