Why are 80% of divorces initiated by women?

Because a lot of the times women screw the marriage up then file for divorce to be taken care of the rest of their lives on their ex husband dime

There is less social pressure on women to get and stay married. Being a single parent is socially acceptable, and so is divorce.

Men cheat 50-70% of the times, far more than women, although women are now catching up to them. More men are also going to strip clubs these days, and other behaviors which make women distrust them, so wives feel less loyal in return.

Also, a lot of men use porn, which lowers men's sex drive and testosterone levels. This makes them less attractive and virile to many women.

These days, women out-earn men 40% of the time, so there is less financial benefit to staying married.

The rising rates of obesity in men doesn't help, either. Neither does the chronic video game consumption. These things drain men of their natural aggression and motivation to succeed -- both things that make men attractive to women.

Wives want two major things from husbands -- intimacy (sexual exclusivity, honesty, genuine desire) and protection (financial, physical) from their husbands. Not too many guys can offer these things nowadays, since men have been disempowered through capitalism, so women have less interest in staying married.

What is funny to me is that MGTOW is probably the biggest win for radical feminism. MGTOW ensure that more women will forgo traditional marriage and seek out better paying careers and more political power. Expect fewer stay-at-home Moms, and more women like Marissa Mayer. This will have a huge effect on the politics of the future.

Not sure if this is good or bad for society -- we will have to wait and see!

because most men cheat on their wives or the wives and husbands find that the marriage is not what they thought they wanted and some agree to amicable divorces. some women find that their husbands are too controlling even after years of being with them. it could be a vast number of things. one never knows, because we are not in the households or bedrooms of these couples, so one can only speculate.

Perhaps because women are less able to get their way, when they have a disagreement with their husband.

Women usually marry a guy who is bit older and who makes more money than they do. Which makes the guy more dominant in the relationship than the woman. And this makes it more difficult for her than for the guy to change the relationship in a way she likes. If she doesn't like it, then often she either needs to tolerate it or get divorced, because her guy won't yield or compromise.

It really depends on the marriage. In my case, I tried to be the bigger person and talk with my husband instead of complaining. He cheated and lied constantly. I tried to make it work, despite his continuance in hurting me. I always had proof, however I loved him and wanted things to work. After some years, I decided that I would not continue to be a wife to a husband who did not care about me or my feelings. So I went for a divorce. What's funny is the fact that sometimes when I see him by himself, he always mentions something to the fact of him messing up or how he wish he would have stayed with me.

Because they get everything!!!

What I would like to know is why do these ignorant men still get married when they know this??

If 50% of marriages end up in divorce and 70% to 80% are initiated by women, why in the hell would any guy want to get married??

Especially when we know women do not get married because they are in love!!! Its a race to beat their friend to marriage and to get married by a certain age!!! Usually, any decent guy will do as long as the severance package is good!!

Because 80 % of the time it's the husband's fault.
