Are my virus protection software s still installed?
So to make a long story short, somehow I accidentally downloaded a virus from the Internet. When I opened my Internet explorer, my new homepage was snap do. I googled how to uninstall it, and I ended up going to my Internet explorer, clicking the gear icon, then clicking on the advanced tab, then the reset button. I successfully removed snap do, but I'm
wondering if the firewall, and any other things I downloaded when I first got my computer to protect it from viruses, are still there? http://m.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Snap-Do

There are a number of ways that you can check if your antivirus software is still installed.
1. Click on start, go to control panel, open “Programs and Features”
2. Check in the list of installed programs if your antivirus software is listed.
3. You can also click on start menu and type in the name of the antivirus program in the start menu search bar.
4. If it shows a result, it means the software is still installed.
5. Also, you would have an icon in the notification area on the bottom right of the screen where the system time is displayed.

If you have windows 7 try to search in the start menu if you still have your antivirus. Just press the start button and type in the name of your antivirus program. If it pops up then you still have it. Also you can try a computer scan with your antivirus program if you're worried.
