Could this be a uti?

Hello,

I have a ten yr old fixed carine terrier female. On Tuesday we thought her blood looked a little pinkish but this was at night and she is eating and drinking fine wedensday came and we did not see any more pinkish coloring now Thursday night we noticed it again. She seems to be going a little bit more and it seems to be a little stronger in smell. I will be calling her vet in the morning to get her in I was just wondering I have never had a dog with a uti before, thank you

Update:

thanks for your answers. she does have a uti, so she is on antibotics. I don't think its cancer she just had her senior blood panels a few weeks ago at her yearly and her kidneys came back fine so we can hope its just a uti

Yes,you need to get her to the vet as she is in pain, and if it spreads to her kidneys it can be very serious and even life-threatening if it is not treated. It could also be a sign of cancer. My German Shepherd had bloody urine and what my vet ( and I ) thought was a UTI,but after taking 3 different antibiotics with no improvement, she was found to have bladder cancer. She died in September at the age of 12.
