Appropriate Gift for my Dr. who is retireing?
My psychiatrist, who has been my doctor for nearly twenty years, is about to retire. He has been extremely good to me and I would like to give him a little gift to say goodbye and good luck. I am not rich. Any ideas?

Im sure you paid him for his service, no? Just write a thank you card. He has more money than you do

A nice book on his favorite subject or hobby would be a nice and appropriate gift. Go to a good used book store, the clerks are usually very helpful

Well in 20 years and he hasn't helped, I suggest nothing. That's a long time to being seen by a shrink. That long also tells me, he isn't good at his job.
