Why do some of you people ask a question, and then go three or four weeks without picking a best answer? Its annoying!?

I always pick best answer. A few times I missed the deadline and lost the opportunity to do so, though. Some people never pick "best answer". I have asked questions and got all great answers and had a hard time picking a best one, so, in that case, I always pick the first answer as a courtesy.

Also, what I find curious is that if someone picks best answer, why don't they also give the best answer a thumbs up as well? A lot of people just don't give a thumbs up to the best answer they pick. I find that perplexing.

Maybe all the answers suck and didn't actually answer the question that was asked.

People forget about the question if it's not very urgent.

B/c they just want their question answered.

My guess is they forget about the question.
