Why is this generation so smug and self absorbed?

I started going on this site because it said religion and spirituality , I thought I could share my experience with God and answer some questions. I have answered questions I felt that were honest questions wanting to know about God. But this site is becoming more and more disgusting with a lot of immature, people and people who only want to promote gay relationships , atheistic none sense,  twice it had  disgusting pictures on it. I  am  very sad that I can not honestly help, but this site seems to attract foolish people. I pray for this generation, time is getting short just look around all that is going on, this is not the time to continue  in your  denial that God is real, he does love you,and you are going to answer to him, so accept him while you can.

Because the society of mankind is only becoming less and less God-fearing. In fact, 2 Timothy 3:1-5 describes our era this way: "But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."

Did you notice the phrases that specific reference the behavior of the younger generation? No wonder.

Are you calling gays and atheists "smug and self-absorbed"? It seems that way because you talked about gay relationships and atheists in the paragraph and your main question is about why this generation is smug and self absorbed.

That's really not very kind of you to do. Lots of atheists and gays are genuinely good and respectful people.

However, this is the internet. The internet brings out the worst in people. So if you see arrogance on here, that's why. It's just the internet.

I blame the internet, camera phones, "selfies", and shallow celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.  It's all "look at me, aren't I fabulous!"

Disagree with putting gay relationships in there. I see a lot of love out there and I think God is love.
