How can I get my NetGear wireless modem to work again?

A few months back, I had to take my computer in for repair and because of it, my wireless NetGear modem no longer works. I have tried everything and I was wondering if there is any way that I could possibly resolve this issue without calling NetGear and spending some kind of ridiculous monthly fee in order to resolve this issue. Are there any sort of steps that I should take to try and fix this by myself?

I have a giant Ethernet cord running right smack through my apartment and I would like to be able to use the wireless modem that I have paid for. Any suggestions?

Also, if I do need to contact NetGear, is there any way that I can simply buy a "day pass" kind of deal, so that I don't get with some insane recurring monthly fee that I'll never have to use again. (Hopefully) Can somebody help me? (PC)

You give lots of information except what really matters -_-

Doesn't work how??? Doesn't turn on? What have you tried? Can you enter the configuration interface? Modem's model?

Maybe it's not the modem. Have you tested it with other computers?

You can try to configure it from the web interface, the IP may be one of these 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

Can't help too much sorry, check this it may help you http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/119/...

Or check the website for your modem's model.
