Today is Mothers Day, but it seems to occur again in May. Why are there two?

    Today ( 30/03/2014 ) is "Mothering Sunday" in the church calendar, fixed three weeks before Easter Sunday ; "Mother's Day" in May is originally an American commercial invention, nothing to do with religion.

    Huh??? It is in May....but most of us mothers say "every day is Mother's Day".....When you are a mother, you will understand that...LOL
