How helpful have "liberal" social policies really been for American blacks?

I graduated high school in 1965. What Clark says is true. African Americans most often had two parent families. Black children were most often very well behaved. In 1964, the out of wedlock birth rate was 7% for all races. This was before legalization of abortion and before wide spread use of birth control pills. Both whites and blacks had stronger families then.

We have witnessed what becomes of society when people don't need each other anymore but tend to rely on government to remove the consequences of their behavior. The Vietnam war also led us into the drug culture which has also played a big part in ruining many lives. Drug use was not that common in most of the country in the 60's but spread rapidly across the nation. Food, shelter, and health care are certainly necessities but its going to take a lot more than that to fix what has become of our society.

Young people today don't understand how our society has degenerated and now they believe more degeneration means more equality, more rights. That is because the government is conning people into believing everyone who can't fulfill all their narcissistic dreams is a victim. History shows what happens when people see no reason to control themselves.

There are still some intact black families. I didn't mean to say there aren't. It was the norm at one time.

The fact is that republican opinions tend to be wrong.

For example: he claims that black kids are getting a free pass to be screw ups in school. However, the facts show just the opposite. For the EXACT SAME OFFENSES, black children are being routinely punished MORE severely than their fellow white classmates. There is CLEAR evidence of this fact......and there is clear evidence that it bleeds over into adulthood, where black Americans are SIGNIFICANTLY punished more severely than their fellow white citizens for the EXACT SAME CRIMES.

For him to completely ignore basic facts and evidence, it's no wonder that he is a republican, but his opinion is still completely wrong.

Republicans think everybody with dark skin will sit on their azz for their entire life and draw welfare rather than work if given the opportunity. That's just more evidence that Republicans don't have faith in humanity.

It helps keep them dependent and voting Democrat, so it was successful in what it was designed to do.
