How Do I Apply Finish Spray To Shrink Plastic Jewelry?
A question for you crafty people (i.e. people who hand-make things, but cunning people are also welcome to answer): I bought a spray can of Krylon Crystal Clear acrylic coating to seal my shrink plastic jewelry pieces and it's great because it doesn't make the ink run or leave uneven brush marks.
I sprayed it on my test pieces and have a few problems:
1) It dries with what I'd call a crappy extreme orange peel finish instead of a smooth surface. I put it on quite liberally though, am I only suppose to put a thin coat on?
2) The pieces stick to the baking paper I lay down underneath while they dry. Maybe this can just be fixed by moving them onto fresh paper after spraying?
3) How do I prevent the hole in the plastic piece filling up with the spray stuff?
Sorry if this stuff is obvious, I am a complete newbie to this. Thanks!

If the hole is big enough, before spraying put a toothpick in the hole. Or even a skewer. I wouldn't spray multiple coats, just 1, maybe 2 coats, would be enough. Also keep it in a clean dry area while drying and yes move the piece after spraying to prevent it from sticking.

I don't think that shrink plastic needs to be coated in order to work. When I used it when I was younger I used permanent marker so the ink wouldn't run, but if you're having problems with your ink maybe you should use permanent markers, or try a varnish coating instead.
