Senility is when the brain arteries have become hardened and decreases blood flow to the necessary parts. Regression is a symptom of this condition, and do not get this confused with "dual personalities.!" Personalities are made in full by age 8-10 years old and sometimes in early 20's,. A psychiatric exam is best to diagnose the condition. At age of "80," good for you, you are among the wise oriented group!

at 80 dementia is more likely, and could cause an older person to revert to memories of a younger age. This is different from "dual personalities," unless that you consider the older person has every reason to believe that they are themselves at a younger age. A "dual personality" believes they are two completely different persons, and this condition usually develops at age 20.
