physics question?

The motion of a very massive object is hardly affected by what would seem to be a substantial force.

Consider a supertanker, with a mass of 3.4×108kg .

f it is pushed by a rocket motor (thrust force of a rocket motor is 5.0×106N) and is subject to no other forces, what will be the magnitude of its acceleration?

    Force = Mass*Acceleration

    5.0x10^6 = 3.4x10^8*Acceleration

    5.0x10^6/3.4x10^8 = Acceleration

    Therefore Acceleration = 0.0147ms^-2
