  • Adding vanilla to tobacco - safe?

    So I'm looking to add vanilla to the tobacco I use in the roll up cigarettes I smoke. To do this, I plan on using a grinder to break up raw vanilla pods and adding them to a pouch of tobacco. Anyone ever done this (or similar), and does it work? Also, do you think inhaling burnt vanilla would be safe as far as smoking goes? Asking because adding nutmeg to tobacco really ***** you up. Thanks a lot <3

  • Help with recognising a song?

    It's the background music that starts playing at 5.00 in this video. It's quite an iconic tune but I just can't put a name to it. Probably a bit of a long shot but there's a chance someone might know. Thanks a lot!

  • Exercise routine enough to make a difference?

    Over a four month period, would doing 100 push ups and 100 sit ups daily be enough to make a difference? Not looking for significant muscle gains necessarily,more just increased definition, particularly in the arms, chest and stomach. Thanks for any help you can give!

  • "Use of an unassigned local variable" error in C#. Any ideas?

    I have to do a task in which I create a grade calculator for several different course. Here's one section of my code.

    if (unitNumber == 3)

    course = ("Certificate");

    if (unitNumber == 6)

    course = ("Subliminary Diploma");

    if (unitNumber == 9)

    course = ("90 Credit");

    if (unitNumber == 12)

    course = ("Diploma");

    if (unitNumber == 18)

    course = ("Extended Diploma");

    Console.WriteLine("You have completed the " + COURSE + "course");

    The area where I've written COURSE (the final line) is shown as an error in Visual Studio, due to 'Use of an unassigned local variable', and I don't know why or how to get round it. I've already declared 'course' as a string. Any input would be hugely appreciated. Thank you very much.

  • Is my understanding of Pulse Modulation correct?

    As far as I know, it's just a method of encoding messages as digital signals in a binary format (i.e. a pulse indicates 1, and a lack of a pulse indicates 0). I know it has a role in power supply to devices, but I'm talking about Pulse Modulation in a computing context. Thanks for any help!

  • How to lose weight without jeopardizing growth?

    I'm 17. 5'10, and about 155 pounds, but I'd rather be around the 140 mark or less. I think I'd find it easy to lose weight, but I don't want to sacrifice any growth I have left in me through malnutrition. Any suggestions? High protein, low fat?

  • Good, older PC games?

    I'm looking for older PC games (from around 2000, give or take) that are fun to play. Ideally available on Steam. Also, if you have any newer suggestions, that'd be great too! Thank you.

  • Project ideas for Summer?

    I'm 17, and on Summer break (I'm not returning to college until September). I'm looking for a project idea for Summer to prevent me going insane, whether it be self-improvement, or building/creating something. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

  • Bigger arms in 6 weeks?

    So firstly, is it even possible to get notably bigger arms in 6 weeks? I heard you need at least 4. Secondly, would this routine allow me to do that:

    - 50 bicep curls on each arm with a 12 kilo kettlebell (not the correct equipment, I know, but my heaviest dumbell's only 8 kilos).

    - Tricep dips until failure.

    I'll be working my abs and legs too, to avoid imbalance. Thanks for any help!

  • Where should I take a girl?

    I'm meeting up with a girl I know soon, but I'm not sure what to do or where to go. It would feel weird to go to the cinema or any other traditional date kinda place. Do you think we should just go for a coffee and a walk or something? Hopefully you've got more game than I have. Cheers.

  • Refrigerating Meat?

    Domestically, I'm not the brightest. If I bought refrigerated (not frozen) meat from a shop while at college, and kept it in my bag for an hour or two until I get home, will it be safe to refrigerate it? I plan to use it later the same day. Thank you.

  • Girl Advice?

    I'm leaving my current college to go a different, nearby one. There's a girl I've know for a long time, and I do really like her. I've only got one week left at my current college, after which I might only see her weekly or a couple times monthly. Problem is, I appear to have been born without any balls, and I'm just scared of getting rejected blah blah blah. Do you guys think I should do anything, or just continue to be friends with her? Thanks a lot.

  • General advice?

    I'm almost seventeen, and have not acquitted myself too admirably in my first year at college, and so I'm not sure as to whether I'm going to stay. I just feel a bit directionless and hopeless. I'm aware how pansyish this all sounds, but I'm just despairing a little bit, I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice in general, preferably someone older or more experienced than me. Something you might say to your younger self, that sort of thing. Thank you.

  • Girl advice?

    Without wanting to join the horde of teenage males thinking they've got to third base because a girl asked them the time of day, I was just looking for a bit of guidance with the following:

    There's a girl I talk to almost daily (both at college and texting) and she's constantly ribbing me about another girl, whom she believes I like, pretty much every day. I'm just asking whether you think this has any significance whatsoever. Thanks playaz

  • Masculine scents - easily resourced?

    I've recently got into perfume distilling as a hobby, but I'm finding it very difficult to find raw materials that can be distilled that smell 'manly'. I've had suggestions such as citrus and even leather, but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas? Thanks a lot for your help.
