how many times a year is a medical review required by SSA?

Especially when they have an authorization to get what ever they need in the file.

MEDICAL reviews are done as often as needed. When a person receives their award notice they are told how often social security will be doing a medical review on them.

Six months to one and a half years - Medical improvement expected.

Three years - medical improvement possible but not likely.

Seven years - medical improvement not expected ever.

If someone gets SSI (the federal welfare program) disability not only do they undergo periodic medical reviews but they are supposed to undergo a review of income, resources and living arrangements once a year. SSI isn't social security - different program.
