will nail polish work to touch up car paint?

Okay I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee and around the radio antenna where it meets the base that is screwed into the body around the base it started flaking so I sanded it to clean metal and used black nail polish to touch it up with a clear coat on top to help make it more durable will it last a good while? Seems like the snow got to it because it was never there last summer.

Yep it works great!! My car is gray and had a scratch on it... i had a scratch kit, and sanded it down a bit, clear coated and used nail polish, and still looks great and smooth 1 year later! (even through a very rough winter)

Yes it should hold good, if you have sanded it well and applied it with a layer of clear coat. Try keeping it dry as far as possible.
