If the city's tree's roots broke one of your drain pipes,?

If a drain pipe on your property was broke due to tree roots, and that tree belongs to the city, does the city pay to have it fixed? Can you send the bill to them?

Nope. Any part of a city owned tree that is on your property belongs to you, whether you want it or not. This is part of the cost of home ownership. It's time to replace the pipe, or the root could not have broken through.
