Circular red scab on upper thigh?

I noticed on my upper, almost inner, thigh a red kind of scab. At first I thought "ew, is that acne?" but it doesn't have the same qualities of acne. I haven't ever shaved that far up b/c I'm neither sexually active and it's still kind of winter where I am so there's no point. It doesn't hurt/itch either.

It's slightly raised, very red, and has dry skin on top like it may have popped?

Sorry for the disgusting description but that's kind of what it looks like

Any ideas? I'm a little concerned.

Update:

I volunteer with cats every weekend and there's been a chronic ring worm issue lately...do you think it could be that? I shower thoroughly afterwards and I only just noticed it. Plus, I wear long pants so I don't know how it could get to my thigh.

I am not a medical professional.

I am wondering if you have an irritation to either the clothing you wear and/or irritation/allergy from the laundry detergent.

The other thing it could be is a fungal infection like yeast or jock itch. Ringworm is also a possibility, it is a type of fungal infection and appears as a slightly raised red circular area on skin. But since it is not itchy, I am thinking it may be more of an irritation from too tight of clothing, an exposure to bare elastic from underwear, or allergy from detergents or soaps, perfumes, etc.

You could try applying an over the counter treatment, try peroxide or tea tree oil (tea tree oil is anti fungal and healing) and see if that helps. If not, try an anti fungal cream like for jock itch or topical yeast infection and see if that helps.

If it is not bothersome, it may go away on its own. If it does not go away and especially if it gets worse, go see a medical professional.

    Be well.
