Did anyone else feel this way in high school?

I don't know why but I have a lot of trouble in high school I don't really get talked to. I am not bad looking, in fact I am pretty happy with he way I look. I dress fairly well. I'm nice to everyone. And not that shy. But I've always been the person who didn't get asked to dance at dances. I used to like those stupid rate and date things and I'd usually get a 7 or 8 which is very dumb but still hurts. I don't really get attention from guys unless they are going after every single girl in my grade or if in rare occasions a guy quite a bit older will talk to me. It kind of sucks and I don't understand it. Any advice?

I am a Junior in high school and I only got into trouble twice, Once I threw a paper ball in class and go detention so I deserved it but another time this guy stole my Gym Bag and the teacher was talking on the phone and doing something on his laptop so I started chasing the student around the room and we both go in detention, I personally don't think I should have got it.

Another time I crushed a empty water bottle in class to make students laugh and the teacher got mad and asked who did it but nobody answered so he couldn't punish anybody for it, I probably would have got detention but he wasn't talking and there wasn't a test or anything going on so detention for crushing a water bottle sounds a little extreme for me.

I rarely talk to anyone either as most my real friends from last year are in different classes now and I personally never cared to go to the school dances.
