Do tadpoles eat/kill frog eggs?

Just wondering... And does it mean that the egg is dead when it goes white inside?

Thanks

Most tadpoles do not eat the eggs of their own species, but cannibalism among hatched tadpoles is fairly common. When the egg turns an opaque white, it usually means that it's dead, but fungi should grow on it to confirm this as well.

It is really species specific. Some will eat any protein source they can locate, including frog eggs.
