Teacher-student ratio?
I have a math problem that I'm not sure how to do. I'm not looking for some super long explanation, but I am looking for the steps to solve the problem.
"A local school district has 9000 students and teacher-student ratio of 1:30. How many more or fewer teachers are needed to reduce the teacher-student ratio to 1:25?"

t = teachers now
1/30 = t/9000 then cross multiply
30t = 9000
t = 9000/30
t = 300
r = teachers after reducing
1/25 = r/9000
25r = 9000
r = 9000/25
so see what that is, then use it with the 300 from above to answer
