How to solve this math problem?
"Suzanne wants to divide her earnings between savings and spending in a ratio of 3 to 11. If she earns $450,250 this year, how much can she spend?"
I don't know how to solve it. Please help!

First, you have to figure out the taxes she owes. Then you need to determine if she carries debt on her credit card(s). Then, because this is an ignorant math problem (trying to do social engineering by telling Suzanne she can make big bucks without knowing how to do this math problem)

P S 3% savings is EXTREMELY too low.

3 to 11 means there are 14 parts.
divide 450,250 by 14 to get approximately 32,160.71 per part.
amount she can spend: 11 X 32,160.71 = 353,767.86
approximately $353,767.86
