What would happen if you were charged with aiding and abetting in a homicide that took place outside your home state?

In a novel I'm writing, I have a homicide subplot that took place in the city of Los Angeles, and the character lives in the state of South Carolina (this happened after a televised talk show.) It wasn't until she got back to South Carolina that was charged with aiding and abetting the murder in L.A. (She did not take part in murdering the victims, which were her sister and nephew.) Fast forward a year later and the trial is set for Los Angeles, where the murderers are in prison.

If the South Carolina woman has a travel ban and cannot leave her home state, how would she get to Los Angeles for the trial? Would she have to have a written statement mailed to the courts? At this point, I was thinking that she would fly in escorted by the authorities, and she's forbidden to have any contact with the media before the trial begins? Is this correct? What would the law dictate in this case?

She was charged with Aiding and abetting then the cops would go pick her up, either fly her in or drive her. She can't just mail in a statement when charged with such a serious crime.
