How would I go about changing car insurance details?
I'm about to insure a car I've just purchased. I am currently a student living away. However, in 2 months time more or less all my details will change, as I'm working at a company for my year in industry. If I pay the whole amount first, will I either owe money or get money back when it changes?
Also, are you aware of the best insurance companies for students. I know of black boxes but i don't want them charging me for going 2mph over the limit. If anyone's had experience of black boxes, some info would be great!
Cheers

You buy the insurance of where you are currently living. If you move to another location permanently, then you notify your insurance agent and purchase insurance in the area where you are moving to.
Whether or not you get money back, or have to pay more is dependent upon the locations. No one can tell you this. However, when I officially moved across the country, my insurance company sent me the balance from my insurance reasonably quickly (less than a month) after I canceled the policy.

Yes you do get a refund or have to pay the difference.
Source(s): Recently got a refund as the new insurance cost was lower after moving.
