How to get my boyfriend to hug me?
We go to a small Christian college, he's a sophomore and I'm a freshman. He asked me out Thursday, but we've been hanging out together since October and apparently he's considered us to be dating since February. But we haven't had any intentional physical contact other than holding hands in prayer circles.
I figure that if I can get him to hug me he will be more likely to start holding my hand and that if he becomes comfortable doing that then he will eventually kiss me.
I want him to do these things first and I'm almost certain he does too (so I will NOT "just kiss/hug him" or grab his hand), but I don't know how to hint about it without being really forward. He does want to see a movie soon so maybe its something I could do then.
I don't think there is any specific reason he hasn't I just think he is just nervous.

This isn't the kind of problem with a magic fix, or that goes away on its own. You need to talk to him about it and what you expect physically from each other. It's an important conversation to have and you will feel much better. Maybe he has a good reason for not really touching you. You're dating and should be able to talk about anything, so just straight up ask him. There's no other way and you'll only feel more frustrated and self conscious

Talk to him about it. Probably he is not the hugging type or waiting til later on to do it. You said that it is a Christian college, I heard of this college that won't allow men and women to touch, not even shake hands. There are churches like that too. Is it that he holds such a believe? For some, hugging is a big deal. The best way for you to find out is ask so be brave and ask him. All the best!

Ask him if he wants to. Say stupid obvious hints like say that your hand feels empty and wish someone would hold it. Something that is so obvious that the biggest moron could figure it out.
