how to ask a friend to meet me after years online?
in early May I'm heading to the city where a good online (female) friend of mine lives.
Lately we have been in contact much, and it would be a pleasure to meet her.
How should I ask her to meet me without having to fear for our friendship or rejection?

Just ask. If the friend only wants an online relationship then she will tell you that, but if she wants to meet she may be interested in finally meeting you. Just remember unless you've seen recent pictures of her she may not be what you expect. But if you truly enjoy your online relationship then go with no pre-conceived expectations and try to have a good time. It may turn out to be no big deal or it could be the beginning of something better. Good luck.

Don't worry about rejection. There are many people on this planet to worry about a single one. Just tell her that you will be in town and would like to hang out with her at a mall, or ask her if she would like to grab some coffee with you and catch up.
