The quadratic is:
12x^2 = 41x - 35
I then subtracted the 12x^2 (12x squared) to make set it to zero, and then I picked out a, b, and c.. I multiplied a which is 12 and c which is -35 and I got 420. I don't know what to do from there, or if I did it right?

the factors of 420 under 41 are
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,10,12,14,15,20,21,28,30,35,
several combinations are possible depending on how many factors can be added together
the most obvious is 20 and 21

12x² = 41x - 35
12x² - 41x + 35 = 0
To factor you need to use both the factor pairs of
12 and 35
You'll find 3 and 4 for the factors of 12
and -5 and -7 as the factors for 35
If you can't get it to factor you can always use the quadratic equation
(3x - 5)(4x - 7) = 0
You can FOIL it to check
Therefor
x = 5/3
x = 7/4
