would we be barred from European competitions if we pulled out of the EU?

The Champions League springs to mind, but there are loads of European competitions as shown in the link below.

Foxy, get over yourself. There are many reasons I think we should stay in the EU and the the Champions league and other sports are nowhere near the top of the list. I genuinely didn't know whether we would be allowed in certain competitions outside of the EU. Thanks for all those that answered sensibly.

    The EU is a trade and political union. The UK is still in europe the continent and under european competition in football. Russia and a number of other countries play in european competition but they are not in the EU, it has nothing to do with it.

    Norway and Switzerland compete in the UEFA European Cup.

    Danish teams compete in the champions league so have Norwegian teams

    So no not really

    More scaremongering from a sad old git with nothing constructive to say even on a good day. Hopefully, we would be barred from taking place in the Eurovision Song Contest, and never hear Boom-bang-a-bang ever again! But the Euros can't bare to not compete with us in footie and all the rest of it, so no chance of being barred from any of their cronie-isms unless we have another war with the Germans.

    Britain would be only breaking away from the Political Union. We would still be Europeans, you cant change that.
