How many times a week do you give your hamster treats?

I have two drawf robo hamsters. I have had them for about a month. I usually give them 1-2 treats each daily. 1 pink yogurt and 1 papaya treat. Is that too often? Also is it okay to give your hamsters carrots daily? They love carrots so much. Thanks

I've had 5 hamsters now and I've always given treats every day. I never had a robo hamster though they are soo cute! (too fast for me) But it really doesn't matter what you give them. I tend to give my hamster cheese every night before I go to bed and any other treats mixed within her food (ex. bran flakes, cheerios, unsalted sunflower seeds). I don't overfill them but limit to like 2-3 of each. Your hamsters will ultimately decide what they feel like eating so don't be worried if you think you gave them too much.

As for carrots I don't see anything wrong with giving them carrots daily. You'll read things online or in the store suggesting what's good for their health but honestly it's your hamster. Spoil it and give them what you want them to have! Try some of the treats I listed above and see if your hamster likes them!

**Right now my hamster has a thing for cookies (I believe apple flavored that you can get at PetSmart). Try those out, it's good for their teeth!**

Hamsters love to have treats in moderation. Treats are even used to help tame hamsters.

As long as the treat isn't anything containing much:

    Acid (definitely none of this!)

    Spice

    Salt

    Sugar

I give my hamsters sunflower seeds ( about 3-4 a day). But I can't give them anymore than that as they are high in fat.

I have known hamsters to b picky on their food if u give them too many treats. They will want more treats and will go looking for them, in the cage. If this happens, just gradually lower the amount u give them each day.

I also think it's ok to give your hamster one salted peanut every month. Make sure it's no more than that as they r incredibly unhealthy for them! They do love them though :-)
