girl i've chatted to for years doesn't want to meet me?

to make a long story short:

i've known a girl online for 4 years now. Over winter we started chatting much more, and now on a daily basis basically. She helps me in studying the language.

In May I'm heading to her city and today I said it would be nice to finally meet if she wanted to.

She said: "thank you, I don't think so".

I then said: "I thought it would be fun. It's not necessary to make a decision right now, think about it", to which she said "ok".

I agree, I have a crush on her, but I think the fact that we are (even if it's online) friends makes this extra painful for me, because there is no reason for friends not to meet up.

Can I convince her to change her mind?

First you need to know why she doesn't want to meet you, ask her.

And go from there, I can't help more if I don't know her reason
