Help, in desperate need of advice for Eurostar journey from Ashford International.?

From Ashford, I want to go to Paris this Friday simply for the day only, leave between 7am and 9am then make the return journey back to Ashford International in time to get that last train [10:35pm] back to hastings. It says days trips are £69:00 but I've tried to book online but it keeps coming up wityh the high cost of anything from £290:00 to over £300:00... Thst isn't 69:00 per ticket. Do you know how I can book and pay simply for two day return tickets for £69:00 each, which is the price advertised. Thanks for your help.

Good answers above. As so few Eurostar trains now stop at Ashford it is a could idea to check trains from

Ebbsfleet Station too, where more stop. Ebbsfleet is just a few minutes away from Ashford on the frequent South Eastern services that go to London St Pancras

it says they are "from" that amount, to get those prices you have to be very careful about the times you are picking to travel, try looking at the first train, stuff like that. Also, they only have a certain amount of cheap fares available on each train and once they are sold the tickets are more expensive, you often have to book considerably in advance to get the cheap ones.

While you're at it, check out first class tickets, i've had occasions where they have wanted £200 plus for a second class ticket but there are still first class tickets available for £80

next friday is good friday as well, there will be a huge amount of people wanting to travel out friday and back monday to take advantage of the long weekend over easter, dates like that can often be fully booked a year in advance.

Cheap day return tickets will be available at quiet times - and the Easter weekend is not a quiet time. You are very unlikely to get any cheap tickets this week.

If you want to get the best offers, you really need to book these things a couple of months ahead - in man ycases there are a limited number of cheap tickets, and once they have sold they don't add any more.

Hi iŧ is not going ŧo be cheap on good friday so next week at the end of the month it might be reasonable.however as easter marks the beginning of the holiday season it is i believe now too late.

so you might have to wait till the end of september now for a cheap day out.

If you want to travel cheap, do it off peak times and off holiday days as already mentioned.

If you shop in Tesco and have clubcard points on account, you can travel even cheaper
