How important is it to those who call themselves Christians?

I think it is interesting that for some Christian religions, they celebrate the BIRTH of Christ on a different day of the week each year, but then they celebrate or commemorate his death on the SAME day of the week.

I don't quite understand the logic in this.

We know that Christ told us to continue to keep in mind the REASON for his death, and to really focus on this once a year, at the anniversary date of the death.

For Christians, this is recognized as Nisan 14, or this year on our modern calendar, April 14th.

It's the only event which Jesus asked his true followers to celebrate. His death, although sad, opens the way for everyone to have an opportunity to live forever. Only if they exercise faith in that sacrifice.

Jesus Christ himself commanded his disciples to memorialize his death. This is the only event that the Son of God Jesus Christ commanded to memorialize. So he meant it to be special for all of us. Jesus Christ said: "Keep doing this in remembrance of me" ( Luke 22:19). Every Christian, every real follower of Jesus Christ, should observe the commandment of Jesus to memorialize his death than. Because the death of Jesus Christ has such far-reaching effects for everyone of us.

Dave, does your anniversary always fall on the same day of the week? My anniversary is on a different day of the week every year.

The Lord celebrated the Last Supper with His disciples on Holy Thursday and the commemoration of this event is VERY important to the world and to me.
