Need a ROM suggestion for Galaxy S4 (SCH-i545)?

Anybody running a custom ROM thats actually improving their phone without glitches or things that dont work at all?

Im currently running stock rooted and manually debloated and no CIQ but can't really find a ROM worth trying out. With my S3 everything was better than stock but the S4 seems to run pretty descent.

Any suggestions feom peolple actually running them are appreciated.

That all depends on how close to stock look and feel you want to keep your phone. There are many great ROMs for the S3 and it's a matter of personal preference.

If you want to root your phone and try some, head on over to XDA forums and find your device, then do some research. Read up on what you need to do (root, install custom recovery, make a nandroid backup), and play around with some of the ones you find interesting. It's not all that hard and can be fun. Good luck!

Source(s): I've flashed over 100 custom ROMs on my phones over the years. Some better than others, most all better than stock.

I kept the stock rom on my s4.

I did some extreme debloating on my device even getting rid of some system applications (certificate installer, key chain etc.) and I saw an enormous performance increase.

But that may also be because i'm constantly overclocked with adjusted minfree ram settings and an edited build.prop
