gerbil starves his brother!?
I have 2 gerbils, sandy and digger. Sandy is the more dominant one. Sandy often sits in the food bowl and eats all the food, and doesnt let digger eat from it. Sandy drops tiny pieces of food into the sawdust for his brother to eat, but not very often, and the pieces that he drops aren't enough to feed digger. I've tried to put sandy in another cage at certain times for digger to eat, but he doesn't eat. I have no idea what to do. Please help me!

Try scattering food across the cage, not just in the bowl. That way Digger can eat food outside of the bowl, and Sandy can eat the food inside of the bowl. I had this same problem with my guinea pigs. I hope this helps, and good luck!

Put a bowl at each side of the cadge. Sandy can't be at both bowls at once, giving digger a chance to each from one of the bowls. I hope this helped
