Republic: Government by representation for the populace
Democracy: Direct vote from the public typically where the majority dominates
Socialism: an economic philosophy generally capable of operating under any political system from totalitarian to anarchy in the political range. It prescribes that the "means of production" is owned "in common" by all the people. How the proceeds from that is shared depends on political decisions about that.
Fascism: A political system where a single dictator rules directly over government bureaus controlling everything. The name came from Mussolini's "fascisti." His system adopted by Germany's National Socialist Workers' Party and Spain (I believe) uses "corporatism" where each whole industry is entirely controlled by a single bureau responsible directly to the dictator.
Communism: The most radical form of socialism where all significant property is owned "in common" not just the "means of production." Marx intended his style of communism ultimately to be under anarchy after government atrophied and faded out as unnecessary for people fully cooperating.
Anarchy: No government. That is all it means regardless of it often being used as a substitute word by both proponents for, and opponents of, militant Marxism. It also is wrongly used as a synonym for chaos, which often happens under anarchy because very few cultures are capable of cooperating much without some forcing element. That common cultural problem also has been the downfall of all the Marxist and most other communist societies without personal economic reward.
Source(s): For decades I studied philosophies, cultures, and social institutions. I began that because of confusion resulting from my military experience under the shadow of neo-Marxist anti-military and anti-capitalism indoctrination in the universities. I continue a forty year quest looking for some truth in the pile of stinking crap a wide variety of bigots made by blaming people or practices they don't like while excusing people or practices they do like regardless of where the fault really lies. - tigeressLv 77 years ago

Socialism: not acceptable economic structure.
Fascism: puts the population at the discretion of authority, and allocates rations as valued by government.
