how do you send a picture message to email without using data or wifi?
my old phone was not a smartphone, didn't have a data plan, and if I sent a picture message to email it would work. with iPhone it just fails to send it, even though mms is turned on, i don't want to waste data on something i should be able to do without data.

In your scenario, it's not possible. Just email the picture to them with your smartphone by using WiFi. Otherwise, with that phone, it's impossible to send a picture. It's like stealing data if it is possible. I know that you're not trying to but an MMS needs data to send a picture.

To send picture through you MMS, it is necessary to use internet connection. You are required and also you phone will give a message to get internet connection for sending any picture to your friends, etc.
