Inappropriately angry with my BF?
Today me and my boyfriend were hashing out some details of a recent fight we had. Everyhting was going well and were understanding one another view points and gaining some common ground. Doing a good job of talking it out. Then he told me he has shared some of my text messages with a woman I dont know personally but has been a friend of his for a long time and I was instantly upset. I dont know why I have shared text messages with friends before. As he went into what she thought about what I said I went OFF. I mean I lost it i scream and cussed at him and told him off and hung up on him. After a few minutes I calmed down. I honestly dont know why I got so upset. I sincerly appologized to him almost immediately. I still dont understand why I got so mad. Have you ever gotten completedly pissed off almost immediately and when you calmed down you wondered why you even got so upset? Have you ever acted badly and realised you were completely wrong and being a tottal jerk? How do you avoid a repeat performace?

I think you were just angry because you know, he showed your messages to a woman and that's kind of breaking the privacy. If I had a boyfriend and he showed my texts to his friends, yeah I would be pushed away a bit because whatever happens between us, stays between us. And yes, I have done the second one but not the first one. I guess to avoid it, just take a breath, stop, and think. Like think about what was going on in his head and about his motive and try to understand.

Its normal for guys to do this. Mostly when theyre young. I met my girlfriend through my best friend which is a girl and they happened to be best friends as well. I tell my friend a lot of stuff. And I'm sure my girlfriend does too. He obviously cares about you if hes reaching out to someone else for advice. Dont get mad at him.

"How do you avoid a repeat performace?" by not getting the chance to do it to him again. You are fortunate - a real man would have gotten up, left you sitting there, and not looked back. But you've got a second chance with a 'man' who apparently enjoys this drama.
