What is going on with the attitude on Yahoo Answers?

I'm just wondering what is going on with the attitude on this site lately. Yeah I know this is a redundant question, but I feel like people are so RUDE. Like someone will ask a general question and almost ALL of the answers are sarcastic and make it out like the person asking the question is an idiot.

I feel like why do people find it necessary to be such sods; on their high horse, putting people down, swearing and calling them names? All it does is annoy, antagonise and upset other members.

If you don't have anything nice to say, why say anything at all people?

*I will probably get mean responses to this question - hit me with your best shot because I don't really care.*

Unfortunately the anonymity of message boards tends to bring out some less than pleasant people and others who seem to enjoy causing problems rather than providing solutions. It's like in school when the teacher asked , are you helping with the solution or are you part of the problem.Try to ignore them, report them if they break community guidelines or TOS. Fortunately the majority of members are sincere, polite and try to help other members. There are also point gamers who answer just to get 2 points the easy way they should be reported

also, if posters don't answer the question asked they could be reported for not following the question and answer format.

We do have some nasty characters in this forum. Pay them no mind. It helps not to ask really stupid questions. I have no idea what you've been asking, but some people just ask for it. Really.

Because with a bunch of unknown keyboard warriors, there is no way to really regulate what is to be said, as long as it follows the YA! guidelines.

it's the internet.....there are rude people everywhere and there's nothing you can do to get around that fact other than not letting it get to you.....and so many people pointlessly complaining about rude people on here is basically telling those rude people that IT IS getting to you.

This site has always had its share of nasty users. Due to recent changes, many of the older, nicer users have left due to being unwilling or unable to adjust. Leaving a higher percentage of trolls who will tolerate the changes and glitches so they can continue to abuse others anonymously. Insults and other non-answers should be reported, of course.
