TOYOTA FORTUNER OBD PROTOCOL?

I have a Toyota Fortuner (HiLux chassis and engine) and want to use an OBD2 device in it. I have an ELM327 OBD2 bluetooth device. it pairs with the Samsung S4 with Torque/CarOPro APP, but it does not show the engine parameters anywhere.

Does anyone know what protocol Toyota uses for their Fortuner?

Thanks.

What was the point of the above?

That is Not an answer it is just an advert.

The 2 words are Not at all the same!

The Fortuner of course is the D4D and diesel so many of the common OBD1 OBD2 / OBD II units don't work.

I have seen adverts stating almost all cars are catered for in the latest OBD II modules and they even state Toyota but I remember hearing this conversation some years ago and I recall there was an "M" in the Fortuner protocol and I looked at the new modules and none of the protocols advertised rang a distant bell!

Now I am looking for the same answer.
