Japanese translation help?

Question

聴 のに うてすけのおんがくとは 言えないはずだ

I am having trouble translating this:

I am translating it to:

Although listen to ideal music.  I am not supposed to say.

This makes no sense:

Is "noni" mean although in this case.
What does the "to" mean after the ongaku.  I never heard of a  "to" ending particle.

聴くのにうってつけの音楽とは言えないはずだ。

kiku no ni uttetsuke no ongaku to wa ienai hazu da.

The のに is not "although". The の is a nominaliser changing the verb 聴く into a noun form, like "listening", so that it can be followed by the case particle に, "for/to".

The と in とは is the case particle as a quotative marker. The は is the binding/focus particle.

聴くのに for listening

うってつけの= ideal; most suitable; perfect for; http://ejje.weblio.jp/content/%E3%81%86%E3%81%A3%E...

音楽 = music

とは言えない = can't say that~~

はずだ = I believe~~; I'm sure~~

So it's like

"I believe you cannot say that the music is the most suitable for listening."

"I don't think that it can be considered as ideal/best music to listen to."
