has anyone ever been a surrogate?

I am looking into privately becoming a surrogate but not through an agency.I am on medical assistance/Medicaid and I need all the information I can get as people are contacting me. what do I need to know and do. what is compensation for something like this. I am 29 with two children of my own.

    You have to go through an agency in most states if not all. And you have to have income that is enough to live on your own, so if you are only getting medicaid and such, you may not even qualify. Reason for this rule is to be sure you arent doing it for money.

    If you receive a surrogate's fee, your eligibility for Medicaid could change.
