how many calories should i eat to lose weight ?

so i calculated how many calories i burn on a daily basis and it said 1840 and today i started jogging and i plan to do it everyday,saturday being my rest day. i walk fast for 15 mins and then jog for 15 so i burn 1840 normally plus the calories from my exercise which im guessing is 400-500 ish ?? im 14 a girl 5'4" and 164lbs yes i know im very overweight which is why im doing all this so how many calories should i eat a day to lose weight ?? and i dont want like half a pound a week :/ i know rome wasnt built in a day so im not expecting 10lbs in a week but maybe 2 a week ??

    they say a pound of body fat is 3500 calories.

    if you are burning 1840+460, that would be 2300 calories a day

    if you eat 1800 calories a day, that would be a deficit of 500 calories, or 1 pound a week.

    if you eat 1600 calories a day, that is a deficit of 700 calories a day, or 1 pound every 5 days.

    the most you should try to lose is 2 pounds a week, which is a deficit of 1000 calories a day, which would be eating 1300 calories a day. eating is not just about avoiding fat, it is also about providing nutrition.

    the fewer calories you eat, the more you feel deprived, and the more likely you are to quit. also, the fewer calories you eat, the harder it is to get all the nutrition you need. so if you try for 1000 calorie deficit, you have to cut down on junk food and make every calorie count. make sure you get enough protein to power your exercise, and reduce or eliminate sugary and starchy foods.
