Is it wrong to ask the same questions in R&S?

Occasionally I'll ask the same questions here in R&S. Most of the time I already know the answer, or have an answer to it, but I am looking for what other's have to say on the matter. Is that misusing Answers?

I also do it because I see so many trollish questions here and want the chance to see some real though provoking answers.

Is that wrong?

Because this is an information exchange site -- not a chat room or social contact site or discussion forum -- questions here must be seeking knowledge or advice of general interest to the community. As long as your questions fit the rules here, and you need an answer, ask them.

Many things that would be perfectly fine on a social site or in a chat room are definitely not ok here, as this is an information exchange site. Its aim is different, so its rules are different. It's really not very wise to agree to something and then not find out what that something really is.

It depends on why you are asking the same question multiple times. If you ask and it didn't show up on the board, it's okay to ask again. If you are asking again because you think that the evening crowd my have different answers than the daytime crowd it's okay as well.

But if you're asking the same question over and over because you think you have a point to make and you think asking that question repeatedly is going to get your point across, this is probably the wrong outlet for that.

No sure what you mean here, but I do know that said forum is as full of hate as the paranormal forum.

If you're being redundant on a query... then, YES... that's against the rules as it's considered spam.

If you're calling out a specific religion or trying to shove ones beliefs down the throat of others... well, that's insult and harassment of which could get you banned.Since YA no longer closes posts even when a BA is chosen, perhaps you should leave your query open til a "real" response is given so you may choose it.

Source(s): A 5 plus year member that once enjoyed responding daily in dogs, myth, & the paranormal. I prefer to answer more then inquire... this site is 90% kid/troll inhabited so upon realizing that I be much happier to help others with "real" issues instead of "beating a dead horse."
