how do i turn off noise cancelation on windows 8?

I'm trying to play Pandora using my computer speakers and my phone since I don't have internet otherwise. I have my phone hooked up through the microphone but I can tell the microphone sound cancelation is enabled because when my songs have a very noisy rif the song starts making a whiny noise. So how do I disable the noise cancelation on the computer so I can get the songs to play without this irritating noise. I know its possible with windows 7 and its not a Pandora setting because I can do this with my laptop but windows 8 doesn't have it in the microphone settings I have checked for about an hour and cannot find it.
