are any of the outdoor antennas capable of bringing in the channels they claim too?

    You need to be close enuf to broadcast towers and have no interference between you and them to get best reception.

    And many times you'll need to add two things to an outdoor antenna to get good reception:

    1. A signal booster and

    2. A rotator which allows you to turn the antenna in different directions to pick up different stations.

    Without those add ons you'll be more restricted in the stations you can pick up.

    Usually an outdoor antenna is your best bet for signal coming in,over the air..... mostly due to the height of the antenna ..the higher up the antenna is the better chance you have of getting a good signal...I use one I got at Radio Shack and I an getting great reception....

    An ouitdoor antenna is the only one that you should consider, but choose the best transmitter.

    Yes most of them are, But they must be cut for the right wavelengths and it helps if they are connected to the TV.
