Any moms have a baby at Kaiser Permanente (Zion) in San Diego recently?

I would really like a private room. Did you have to share?

I want my husband to be able to stay as much as possible and overnight.

Was your husband able to stay?

What are the birth options? I would like to go as natural as possible for as long as possible (seeing how I handle it). And possibly labor in a tub to help with pressure and then get out to deliver.

Epidurals and ceasareans terrify me unless it's absolutely necessary. Not a fan of needles and definitely not in/near my spine. I've heard of women getting paralyzed temporarily or permanently. Or it not working and numbing one side. Two ladies I know have pain in that area since having it done. Any other good options?

Their website isn't amazingly helpful, but here's a link to what info is there.

(It looks like the rooms in L&D are singles.)

Your doctor should also be able to answer general questions, and/or you can call to arrange a tour. (And the doctor, not the hospital, is the main factor in whether or not you have a C-section ... and YOU are the one to decide about an epidural.

The C-section rate at that hospital is about 34% ... slightly above the national average but lower than many other area hospitals.

I suggest you contact the hospital and find out about a labor class. This class can be a huge help. Education about the birth and the hospital is great to have. You can get all these questions asked and be around other in your experience. Also, you can be put at ease with some of your fears. I personally was nervous to be in a hospital and I wanted my husband too. I was able to have my husband there with my on the first night but not the second. The hospital tried to have all private rooms, but if they get full that is when they start putting people together. Still its fine to have a roommate as there are curtains. I actually found it was nice to have a roommate because she ended up providing me with some emotional support when I had a moment of struggling. I will say this, you will do just fine, the biggest problem is your own mind creating all the things to worry about. That is normal, but just know that just cause you hear about problems does not mean those problems are common. I had an epidural and I did just fine with it. I actually loved having it. Yes it hurt when I got it, but I did not care at that point about getting it. I was so much more comfortable when i had it. I was also able to sleep some once I got it.

Positioned in Southern California, maybe not far from the Mexico border, San Diego could be the oldest community in California, founded in 1769 and if you want to know an area with a stunning organic splendor and a nice weather, with delicate temperatures and plenty of sun with hotelbye you should start. In San Diego you are able to visit: museums, gardens, Spanish Colonial model structure found in Balboa Park, the world popular San Diego Zoo, and the Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum. SeaWorld San Diego is one of many city's principal attractions, especially for families. It is found along the waterfront in Mission Bay. For many American's SeaWorld has been a long time family convention, having been with us since the 1960s. One of the features are the range of shows presenting monster whales, sea lions, dolphins, and other sea life. You will find all sorts of flights from roller coasters plunging into water, to more sedate carnival type trips for tots. SeaWorld is definitely an aquarium that allows for up close talks about sharks and other sea creatures which can be seen via an fat tunnel, alongside feel tanks, and close activities with dolphins and inhabitants of tidal pools.
